“What if she just doesn’t have any teeth?!”  Joss turned one last week and remains toothless!  

She is however gumming at everything so she must have teeth there!  The Munchkin Twisty Figure Eight teether has been a godsend.  As you can see it’s a lovely size for little hands and really interactive with lots of sensory surfaces.  As she’s that bit older it’s a better size for her mouth than some of the smaller products on the market and can be attached to the pram with a toy tie so it’s really handy for days out.

The true test will be when she’s actually cutting a tooth, so we may pop back with an update, but definitely recommend this for older teething toddlers!

This month we’ve been using the Munchkin Toddler Deco Plates plates (plates with seperate sections) and they are proving to be a big hit in our house. It is amazing how something so simple as sectioning off a plate adds so much interest for little people! I tend to put the veg/ fruit into the smaller sections and the girls seem to be eating more as a result.

The plates are robust; they haven’t warped or faded despite being put into the dishwasher daily. The colours are bright and attractive and the addition of the rubber seal underneath ensures that they stay in place on the table and on the high chair tray. We’ve just come back from a weeks ‘staycation’ holiday in the UK and I made sure I took the plates with me – it turned out to be a great idea as there was a hefty surcharge if we broke one of their crockery plates!

Daniel really enjoyed playing with the caterpillar spillers in the bath tonight!

It’s brilliant that they can be used in 3 different ways; we linked them together, stacked them and even used them to pour water. We didn’t manage to get a picture of them stacked up as daniel was too quick to push them over!

Daniel also enjoyed putting them into his mouth. The Munchkin caterpillar spillers are lovely and colourful and are actually one of my favourites. Daniel had fun pouring water over himself using the caterpillar spillers, he also enjoyed using them to splash water to get me wet. Daniel has loved bath time ever since he was born, he has never once cried whilst in there, has even managed to fall asleep in there, so we introduced bath toys as soon as we could and he benefits from it.

Children should have bath toys as I like to make bath time fun and the caterpillar spillers are one of mine and Daniel’s favourites so I would highly recommend these to any other parent.

I have to start by saying my son, Monty, has lots of bath toys mostly because I can’t resist the bright colours and squirty animal characters. However, this Star Fountain toy caught both our eye as it offered something a bit different. It’s a lovely bright blue colour with a smiley face and squirts water up from its’ middle, flashes blue and spins around in the bath. It seemed strange putting batteries into a bath toy, but they are well covered with a plastic flap and 4 small screws. I found it a bit hard to unscrew the flap, but I guess it is to keep it all dry.

Monty gets a soaking from the Munchkin Star Fountain!

After pressing a small button on one of the star points the fountain sprung into life flashing blue and sending up quite a good powerful fountain around 6 inches into the bath. Monty (19 mths) was in fits of giggles as it spun around towards him and didn’t mind a few sprays in the face as he learnt how it worked! It’s great that it only sprays up water while it’s in the bath, so all the water stays where it should. It’s also good that once you’ve had a good play with it, you can turn it off and save the batteries. I tried to put it away after a while but it was soon taken out of the toy basket and Monty managed to turn it on himself.

I can see this being a regular favourite for our bath time as it is exciting and is so different from any of the other bath toys we have.

- Le concours se termine le 31 mai.
